Opel has officially unveiled the next generation of a family of Astra. As long as the manufacturer of the machine had a premiere on the Internet – “alive” it will show the fall in Frankfurt.
The main source of inspiration for the designers of the new Astra was conceptual coupe Opel Monza, which the manufacturer has shown in 2013.
The main technical feature of the new items was a decrease in the overall dimensions and weight of the car body. While it is known that the base motor for Astra will be a 1.6-liter diesel engine 95 hp and liter petrol engine developing 105 hp In addition to these units provides a completely new 1.4-liter 145-horsepower turbo engine with aluminum crankcase.
Opel Astra promises to be the first in the compact hatchback segment with matrix LED headlamps. The manufacturer says that the technology will detect objects on the road to 30-40 meters sooner than if the car was equipped with xenon headlights. Data relevant to travel at a speed of 80 km / h.
